Data controller

The controller responsible for the data processing described in this policy is [Musterfirma AG, Musterstrasse 1, 8000 Zurich, Switzerland] (hereinafter “Rewalz”). Full company details will be added before publication.

What data we process

When you visit the website, we process technical access data such as your IP address, browser information and time of access. Through the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email, company, optional phone number and the content of your message). Within the platform, we process candidate data on behalf of our client companies, in particular contact details, video recordings, documents and consent records.

Purposes of processing

We process personal data to provide and secure the website, respond to inquiries, manage contracts with our clients and operate the recruiting platform, specifically to conduct asynchronous video interviews, enable collaboration within recruiting teams and communicate with candidates.

Legal basis

Processing follows the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revDSG), in force since 1 September 2023. Video recordings of candidates take place only after prior, explicit consent. That consent is recorded with the text version and the timestamp and can be withdrawn with effect for the future. Where Rewalz processes data on behalf of client companies, the company concerned remains the controller.

Retention and deletion

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes. Within the platform, client companies set the retention period themselves, configurable from one month to ten years. Deleted records are first deactivated (soft delete) and then permanently removed in accordance with the applicable retention policy; permanent deletions are logged.

Rights of data subjects

Under the revFADP, you have in particular the right to access, rectify and delete your data, the right to have your data released or transferred and the right to withdraw consent you have given. To do so, please contact the address stated below. If your request concerns an ongoing application process, we will forward it to the responsible company where necessary.

Data security

We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. These include strict separation of data per company (tenant isolation), encryption in transit, encrypted storage, role-based access controls, private storage areas for videos and documents and logging of sensitive actions. The data is hosted on servers in Switzerland, in the Zurich region. In normal operation it does not leave Switzerland.
